Omaggio at Lodhy Art Festival
The Lodhi Festival, a unique street festival, seeks to underscore the importance of art in defining and mirroring India’s cultural ethos with live murals, music, dance performances, and guided tours. Our Creative Team was tasked with devising a street performance that includes aerial acts, yet the challenge was performing aerial arts outdoors without any structures or trusses. Thus, the Creative Team brainstormed and devised a solution: a prop that not only complements the narrative of the show but also enables the lifting of artists for various aerial sequences.

About the performance
The performance was themed around the vibrant street energy of Delhi. Omaggio added a personal touch by modernizing the act with elements of circus and physical theatre.

After weeks of meticulous design and testing, the prop that would elevate the artist into the air was finally ready. The paramount rule in crafting such a unique machine is safety; every measurement must be precise to ensure perfect balance. Furthermore, it’s crucial that the artists are thoroughly trained and experts in their craft before utilizing the new apparatus.
